UPHILL 'C' TEAM WHITEWASH CLEVEDON FEATHERS 'C'

Uphill badminton 'C' team continued their winning way in the North Somerset League Division four when the team of Nicole Blunden, John Hunt, Julie O'Sullivan, Rob Murray, Maureen Matthews and Jonathan Kittos beat Clevedon Feathers by 9 rubbers to 0. The match proved to be very one sided with no rubbers going to three games. Maureen and Jonathan standing in for Ruth Harding and Captain Mark Hosford both did well in their mixed after settling down in their first game which they won 21-19, they then won the next game comfortably 21-13. In the Ladies Nicole, Julie and Maureen all combined well and proved to be too good for the opposing ladies whose best score in any game was 16. The men also won comfortably, but the opposition did take two games to 18 & 19 respectively. It is early days yet but this win puts the 'C' team at the top of Division 4.
