Triple Team Success to End 2004

This week saw 3 of our teams A, D & E in league action. The A team had yet another crushing victory away to Nailsea & Yatton. The team of Ellie Hart, Mark Edwards, Nicky Mills, Paul Edwards, Christy Langford and Ross MacLennon all played well to maintain the teams unbeaten record.

Uphill Ladies Hold Pill

Uphill 'B' team were at home to Uphill 'C' team and won by 8 rubbers to1. There were only two close rubbers in the match. The first was the second mixed rubber between Jo Eady & Sam Riley (B team) and Julie Miles & Robert Cole (C team), which Julie & Robert won 13-15, 15-9, 15-17. The second was the ladies third rubber in which Jo Eady & Becky Halfpenny (B team) beat Julie Miles & Claire Garrett (C team) 15-17, 15-10, 15-11. Uphill Have 50/50 Week

This week saw the Uphills ladies, mens, 'C' and 'D' teams playing in the North Somerset League.

The Ladies team were away to Weston Boulevard and won by 5 rubbers to 1. The team of Christy Langford, Claire Garrett, Jo Eady and Emma Moloney all played well with Christy and Jo winning all their rubbers with good support from Claire and Emma whose play is rapidly improving. Katie Amos & Viv Smale (Boulevard) won a hard fought rubber 15-12, 15-13 to avoid the whitewash.
