Convincing Start to Season for Uphill 'A' Team
Date: 31st October 2005This week Uphills 'A' team had their first match in defence of the league title they won last year, and the 'D' team had their second match. Both teams won convincingly. Currently the Clubs 'A', 'B', 'C', 'D' and Mens & Ladies teams all head their Divisions in the League, although only a few matches been played yet.

Date: 23rd October 2005Uphill Juniors have made a good start to the season, with 6 of their members doing well in the Avon County U 11's tournament at the David Lloyd Centre. This event attracted twenty-five juniors who fought for every point they could manage in ninety minutes of action at this inaugural event.

The 'B' team played their first match at home against Mendipway and won by 7 rubbers to 2. The team of Teresa Davison, Neil Barstow, Claire Garrett (Capt.), Wei-Chung, Jo Eady and Sam Riley all played well. The 'A' in Division 1, 'B' in Div. 2, 'C' in Div. 4, 'D' in Div. 5, 'E' in Div. 6, 'F' in Div. 7, a mens team and a ladies team. This week saw Uphills re-formed 'C', 'D', 'E', 'F', Mens and Ladies teams all make a good start to their North Somerset League campaigns.
