The Uphill 'A' team followed up their win against Clevedon Feathers with a home win against Pill who they beat by 7 rubbers to 2. The 'A' team continued their excellent start to 2008 when they got their revenge on Clevedon Feathers in the return home match, beating them by 7 rubbers to 2 and consolidating their position at the top of the league, despite having Captain Nicky Mills unable to play. Uphill Junior Badminton Club is holding a reunion of all past and present players at the Winter Gardens on Saturday 15th March 2008 at 7pm., to celebrate 20 years of junior success as one of the largest junior club in the South West, and the 30th anniversary of the Senior Club, whose 'A' team are the current holders of the North Somerset League title. The 'A' team, playing their first home game of the season, made an excellent start to the New Year defeating Frys 'A' by 9 rubbers to love to gain a valuable eleven points. The team consisted of Nicky Mills (Capt.), Mark Edwards, Jenny Cross, Paul Edwards, Becky Halfpenny and Wai Cheung. All the team performed well, winning all but one of the rubbers in straight games.
