UPHILL BADMINTON PLAYERS LOOKING FOR TOUGH TEN SUPPORT

Uphill Badminton Clubs 'B', 'C' and 'E' teams were in action this week and all won convincingly.
The Club is also entering ten members in the 2010 Tough Ten Multi Terrain Race Challenge on Sunday 14th February organised by Weston-super-mare Lions Club. The race is designed to be within the capabilities of any normally fit runner or jogger and the 10 mile course uses sections of (closed) tarmac road along the seafront and coast, a section of the Promenade, woodland paths and trails within Worlebury Woods, and a little of the beach. In parts it is flat and fast; in others there are short climbs and long down hill sections. The runners challenge is to both complete the course and enjoy the run. The Clubs five League teams all have runners representing their team and would welcome further individual sponsorship. If anyone would like to sponsor any of our runners they can do so personally, or by contacting the Club on www.uphillbadminton.co.uk All the runners are aiming to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship and will be supporting the National Charity 'Sports Relief' who use the money they are given to help poor and vulnerable people, both here at home and overseas. The photo shows eight of the ten runners, the other two who were unavailable for the photo are Matt Potts and Teresa Davison.
